Add a New Static Home page to your Kadence WordPress Website

Below are the following “step by step” instructions to adding a new Static Home Page to your Kadence WordPress Website.

Businesses create a static home page instead of a dynamic blog feed to give visitors an immediate, clear overview of who they are, what they offer, and how to take action

To get started with changing your Home Page to one you have created (A Static Page), please log into your WordPress Dashboard.

Creating a New Page

From the WordPress Dashboard:

• Hover on “Pages” and click “All Pages”.
• At the Top press “Add Page” for a new one.
• Add A title (for instance “Home”)
• Designing and Creating your home will take some time adding in layouts, call to actions, editing the blocks and details explaining who you are and what you do.
• Once completed, press “Publish” in the top right corner.
• click the “arrow” in the top left corner to go back to the WordPress Dashboard.

Assigning the New Page as your “Home” Page

From the WordPress Dashboard:

• Hover on “Appearance” and click “Customize”
• Scroll down to “Homepage settings”

You have two options under “Your homepage displays”

• Your latest post
• Or “A Static Page”, which is the one you need to select
• This open a a drop down box with options listing all your Page Titles. Please choose the new “Home” page (or whatever you named it) you created.
• Press “Publish” to save these changes, and hit the “Arrow” to go back to your WordPress Dashboard

…and that’s it, you’re done!

Wrap Up

Changes should be instant, so view your live website (or Hit Refresh) to take a look. If it still looks the same as before, you might need to wait 10 minutes or Purge the Cache.
